ESPN Wide World of Sports

ESPN Wide World of Sports is a 220-acre athletic complex inside the Walt Disney World Resort, purpose-built to host competition. Its venues range from a ballpark to fieldhouses, diamonds, and multi-sport fields that stay busy with tournaments almost every week of the year.

For many families it's the reason for the trip — youth and amateur teams travel here for baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, cheer, and track, often pairing game days with time at the nearby theme parks. It also hosts pro events and spring-training baseball, so there's frequently something to watch even if you're not competing.

Because it sits within Walt Disney World, it's an easy drive from our Orlando homes — which makes it simple to base a whole traveling team, or a family cheering section, just a few minutes away.
